He was the soulmate and devoted husband of 20 years to Erica
Michaelson and profoundly proud daddy to Hannah Susan.
Born in Hudson, NY and raised in Albany NY. He was the son of Ann
& Martin Michaelson and the brother of Amy Susan Michaelson.
Until 2000, when he started kidney dialysis again after a failed
kidney transplant, he worked for the family business, New York
Apple Sales which was previously owned by his grandfather,
Herman Michaelson, then his father Martin and now owned by his
stepsister, Kaari Stannard.
He was a proud member of the Patient and Family Advisory Board at
Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford FL, and Temple Beth
Emeth in Albany NY.
He enjoyed cars, wild life (ducks and birds) his dogs Annie, Noah
and Harry, cats Precious and Thumbs. He also enjoyed collecting sea
shells on the beach and hanging out with his great friends and
family. But most of all he enjoyed playing, reading, doing puzzles,
dancing and going to the park and science center with his pride and
joy, the sparkle in his eye, the beat of his heart, his princess Hannah
Susan.
He will be remembered for his admired strength, will to fight to live
and the endless love for his wife and daughter.
He leaves behind his heartbroken soulmate Erica, his beautiful and
sassy daughter Hannah Susan, his stepmother, Synnove Michaelson Simon(Robert), stepbrother,
Blake Decker (Christine), stepsister, Kaari Stannard (Jeff), sister in-law, Lora Keyes (Jessie), his favorite
cousin, Alan Shelofsky (Heather), Aunt Ila Michaelson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and
devoted friends.
He was predeceased by his remarkable and well loved mother and father, Ann & Martin Michaelson,
his beautiful and loving sister, Amy Susan Michaelson, maternal grandparents, Harry & Dorothy Salk,
paternal grandparents, Herman & Libbie Michaelson.
