Olive Bernardine Jackson (Bernie) age 90, Was born October 28, 1925 in Trail, British Columbia and passed away peacefully at home in Lake Mary, Florida on April 4, 2016. She grew up in Kellogg, Idaho, Horton, Kansas, then moved with her family to England in 1939. After living through World War II, she married her husband, George who she met during the war and moved back to the United, settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1945. In 1983, they moved to Longwood, Florida. She was a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband George. She is survived by her sister Pauline MacDonald, a cousin Margaret Thomas of England, her children Thomas E Jackson (Ellie) and Cheryl K Jackson, grandchildren Mark Jackson (Sarah), Angela Reeder (Ike), Brian Jackson (Melanie), and nine great grandchildren as well as nieces Jane Hicks, Pam Kinley and Nancy MacDonald. While in England she survived many air raids during World War II and worked at Burtonwood Airbase during that time. Following the war, she returned to the United States as a war bride, traveling on the Queen Mary. She was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother for the remainder of her life.
