Miguel was born in Albejorral, Colombia on June 6, 1931, one of 9 children. He worked on his family’s farm for many years before getting married and moving to Bello, Colombia where he laid his roots down and created a family of six in Barrio Perez, Gladys, Cielo, Wilman, Uber, Marisol and Robinson. He then immigrated to the United States providing for his family and spent many cold winters in New Jersey and eventually purchased his own home in Lake Mary Florida where he spent the remainder of his life there. Spending many days in his garden, taking care of his beautiful roses, plants and stubborn avocados.
He was a man of strong faith, traditions, hard working, always dressed to impressed, funny -on his terms, he loved his wife and family deeply, was a man of a few words who loved to hum and strum the guitar strings.
He will be greatly missed by his family - and always remembered in their hearts.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Maria Ligia for 67 years, their daughters Gladys, Cielo and Marisol, his grandchildren, Andres, Katherine, Joanna, Melissa, Valentino, Cindy, Christian, Nayive, Brian, and great grandchildren, Kaylie, McKenzie, Zarah, Leilani, Amir, Gianna, Addam, Arianna, Miguel-ito, Jayce, and Julietta.
We are sincerely grateful to the many family and friends who have shown us support and love during this time of great loss.
