Linda Bowling

Linda was born on March 5, 1946 in Wilmot, Arkansas to the late Edgar Ray and Lily Alverta Pack. She spent her adolescent years in Crystal Hill, North Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1965, she married Leslie Varnes and gave birth to her son William (Billy) in 1967. She later married Al Bowling in 1980 and they were married for 29 years until his death in 2010.

She was a wonderful singer who loved country music, and enjoyed sewing. Her proudest moments was when she gave birth to her son, the day he married Ashley, and being given her beautiful grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leslie Varnes and Allen Bowling; grandson, Michael Thomas Varnes, and her siblings, Thomas, James, and Faye Pack.

Linda is survived by her son, Billy (Ashley) Varnes; siblings, Kenneth Pack, Lavenia Tanksley, and Betty Baker; grandchildren Nicholas (Saranya), Avery, Caden, Melanie, and Jeffery, Michelle and two great grandchildren, Nisha and soon to be here, Alexander.

The family will receive guests from 2-4 pm on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771. The funeral service will begin at 4 pm with interment to follow in Oaklawn Park Cemetery.
