John Patrick McNamara Sr. (71) passed away on May 29, 2016 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He was born on November 25, 1944 in Bronx, New York to Michael and Kathleen McNamara. Originally a United States Marine, after leaving the service he became a New York City Police Officer for many years until he retired. John is survived by his sons Daimon McNamara, Brendon McNamara and Patrick (Dixie) McNamara, his daughter Tawna Egan and grandchildren John, Mathew, Tara, Michael, Nick, William, Daimon, Kriten, Kaitlyn, Brielle, Trevor, Maddison and John Patrick. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2016 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, Florida. An inurnment at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be set at a later date.
