Jane was born in Booneville, New York to her parents Edward Cihocki and Elizabeth Cihocki (Plumber). Jane grew up in a large family with many beloved siblings. Dairy farmers by trade, life was filled with hard work and family. Always the adventurous sort, Jane's will took her many places in life.
Training to become a nurse, Jane faithfully tended the injured, sick and weak for her entire career. Jumping on an opportunity, she also joined the United States Army Reserve as a lieutenant in the nurse corp. A role that would see her travel far and wide performing her duties. Her diligence, leadership skills and gung ho attitude saw her climb the ranks to that of a Lieutenant Colonel.
With her busy life in the military and caring for the sick, Jane was also a beloved mother to her son Ryan Thomas. Compassionate, patient and with a big heart. Jane showed unconditional love not just to Ryan but to her daughter-in-law Brenda Thomas as well.
While always a Christian, later in life Jane joined the Orthodox Christian Church of America. Taking as her patron saint, Mary Magdalene. She became known as a friend to many. Always ready with a smile.
A life of love, compassion, duty and care. Jane is remembered as one of the best among us. Rest well mom. We look forward to seeing you again down the road. Memory eternal.
