Hugh Edward Thomas , age 81 of Summerfield , Fl. has passed away on February 23 2017 at the promise hospital . He was the son of the late Howell Lester Thomas and Florence Elizabeth Gray and the late Margie Thomas. Ed Thomas was born in Sanford , Fl. on February 28th 1935 . He went to Lyman High School , class of 1954 . After high school he joined the Air Force for several years . When he left the Air Forces he began to drive tractor trailers for a great part of his life . While driving from state to state, he found the love of his life, the late Jeanne Thomas. He was married for 37 years . When he retired he settled back in Florida to be close to his family . He leaves behind two sons , Steven Thomas from New Hampshire , Robert Thomas and loving daughter in law Tina Thomas from Massachusetts , William Thomas of Massachusetts Also brothers Jim And Mike Thomas and sister Susan Thomas Morrison , and many nieces and nephews and grand kids Also leaving behind, late brother Allen Thomas Visitation will be held Tuesday February 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday March 1 at 11:00 am, with burial to follow in Oaklawn Park Cemetery.
