Early life for Helen was working with her family on their small dairy farm in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Moscow High School in 1943. She was quite the athlete lettering in Varsity Basketball and Gym.
After high school, she moved to Miami where she met and married her husband, Maurice Dechelle. Helen studied and became a beautician. She later changed careers joining the U.S. Postal Service in Miami. After 24 years, she retired earning a Service Award in 1989. She moved to the Sanford area after retiring to be near her family.
Helen was hard working and competitive. She had a passion for bowling and bingo – which she played several times a week. She was a loving mother and was devoted to her family. She was known and loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Madelyn Faillaci, Marie Silver, David Dechelle, Peter Dechelle; grandchildren, James Newton, Jill Wiltfong, Samantha Ferro, Adam Silver, Caitlin Dechelle, Vincent Dechelle; great grandchildren Aiden Ferro, Logan Ferro, Sawyer Wiltfong, Berkley Wiltfong, Rigby Wiltfong, sister Agnes Ognosky as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
Helen is preceeded in death by parents John and Helen Vishnesky, husband Maurice Dechelle, son Robert Dechelle, brothers Joseph Vishnesky, Michael Vishnesky, John Vishnesky, Charles Vishnesky, Andy Vishnesky, and sister Genevieve Gerulsky.
