It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn Alan Robinson on May 9th, 2024. Born in Alameda, California, Glenn was the beloved son of Wilson and Johnnie Mae Robinson. He made his home in DeLand, where he touched the lives of many.
Glenn was a man of many passions, from his unwavering support for the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins, to his love for New Smyrna Beach, and the baseball fields of Sanford held treasured memories of his playing days. A Budweiser in hand was a symbol of good times and camaraderie. He was often the life of the party-always the last to leave. His spirit was as free as the waters he loved, often spending his days boating along the St. John's River.
A dedicated family man, Glenn cherished his daughters, Shelbie Deason (JD) and Lindsay Robinson, as well as his sisters Barbara Harvey and Debra Hall, and brothers Bobby Robinson and Don Robinson. He leaves a legacy of love and laughter, with many adored nieces and nephews.
For 30 years, Glenn served as a Volusia County property appraiser, showing his dedication and work ethic. A master storyteller, he captivated all with his tales and had a unique charm that lit up any room. His classic handlebar mustache was as iconic as his vibrant personality.
Glenn's circle of friends was vast and enduring, a testament to the impact he had on those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had privilege of knowing him.
May his spirit rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
