Mrs. Geraldine Bransom

Geraldine was born in Lexington ,Kentucky on February 9th 1932 to Evelyn and James T. Dunn. Geraldine was mother to 5 children who she is survived by James Bransom, Karen Swain, Henry Bransom, Tina Dyer, and Paula Shriver. She raised her children with love and devotion in Altamonte Springs, Florida with her husband Paul Bransom who preceded her in death.

She retired as a head cook from Lake Brantley High school at the age of 82. She was loved by students and staff and received employee of the year at the age of 80. When she wasn’t working she was spending time with family, sewing, cooking, doing laundry, shopping, and dancing.

In addition to her children she is survived by their spouses Catherine Bransom, Geno Dyer, and Don Shriver. 9 grandchildren Amber, Nicole (Casey), Brittany(David), Henry(Kathleen), Katie(Eric), Katelyn(Slate), Natalie(Brandon), Shelby(Kina), and Adam(Abby). As well as 19 great-grandchildren Max, Lily, Elijah, Emma, Asher, Ella, Braxton, Tripp, Karsyn, Emma, Evelyn, Liv, Reed, Maverick, Tate, Kynlee, Everly, Lane, and Hudson. 2 brothers, Billy and Kenny Dunn and 2 sisters, Lois Rhodes, and Allene Rash, many nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors who knew her as Meme.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn and father James Dunn, 2 sisters Phyllis Bealert and Barbara Rogers and a brother, Jack “Junior” Dunn.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, FL 32771. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm with interment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
