George Raymond Palmer Sr.

George Raymond Palmer Sr.,68, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away in the comfort of his home on March 8, 2017. George was born on June 20, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware; the son of Warren and Katherine Palmer. He was the youngest of their five children. George was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving overseas in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1997 from DuPont Chemical Co. in Wilmington, Delaware, where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a very loving father. George leaves behind to cherish and honor his memory, daughters Darlene Esquivel of Lake Mary, Florida, Patricia Britz of Chehalis, Washington, and son George Raymond Palmer, Jr. of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and his sisters Beatrice Bonvetti, and Laura May Taylor, both of Wilmington, Delaware. George was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Joseph and Warren Palmer. A Celebration of Life will take place at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, Florida on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Gathering of friends and family begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
