Frank Henry Albers, 85 of Lake Mary Florida, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024. Frank was born on September 30, 1938 in Brooklyn New York to Henry Dick Albers and Grace K. Schweibert (Albers). Frank is survived by his son Brian and his wife Cynthia Albers, three grandsons, Blake, Brandon, Kevin and Frank’s sister June Serpe as well as his nephew Anthony Serpe. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Diane of 44 years. Frank served in the United States Navy for 13 years and at one point his service was extended for 6 months at the request by the US Government. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and several other accolades for his service and dedication to our country. Frank retired with an honorable discharge from the USN in December 1969 as an Aviation and Structural Mechanic achieving the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer, serving aboard the USS Hornet. Frank was an active member and contributor to the Veterans Association and was also involved, along with his wife Diane with the Central Florida Kennel Club. Together, they raised and bred Bull Dogs that won several awards and first place ribbons. Frank also was honored by the Board of Directors of the National Law Enforcement Officers’ National Fund for his 11 years of honorable and steadfast support. Frank was a neighbor’s neighbor, leader in his community, and well liked and respected by all who knew him. There will be a private service for immediate family at a later date. Frank will be truly missed by all who knew him.
