Dominick "Dom" Oquendo

Mr. Oquendo was born on October 29, 1949 in New York City, NY to Dominick Oquendo and Heronia Melo. He was a Professional Land Surveyor and Mapper for over 30 years. He will be remembered as a wonderful family man and mentor to many that knew him. He was an avid train collection who was known as “Life of the Party”. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dominick Oquendo and his mother Heronia Melo.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Teresa Oquendo; children, Carlos Diaz, Lisa Hernandez, Anthony Diaz, Victor Diaz and Dolores Diaz Breland, sisters Heronia Terevinto and Helen Morales and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends for Dom will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771, followed by a celebration of life service at 2 pm. The family will host a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home.
