It is with great sadness that the family of Devon Christopher Dorsey, 33, of Longwood, Florida, announces his passing on November 23, 2021. He was born in Collinsville, Illinois on February 6th, 1988. After high school, Devon spent time in the Army; he enjoyed and often reminisced about his time in the military. Once his time in the Army concluded, he moved on to pursue his passion of working on cars. He lovingly rebuilt a 2002 Dodge Ram with the help of his friends. Most recently, Devon worked as an automotive technician at Orlando Dodge. He was also pursing a career in law enforcement and planned to attend the police academy in the spring. He was engaged to be married to Nichole Crainick, DVM, of Longwood, Florida. He deeply loved his family, including his dog and constant companion, Wyatt. He was passionate about the outdoors, taking time to fish, hike, camp, and scuba dive whenever he could. Riding motorcycles was one of his greatest joys in life and he pursued his passion with great enthusiasm. Living in Florida allowed Devon to pursue his passions year-round. He was a fun-loving and fiercely loyal man. He also loved getting new tattoos, Disney’s Stitch, guns, and dogs. He leaves behind his loving fiancé, Nichole Crainick and their two dogs, Wyatt and Lily; his mother, Jeanne Dorsey; and his brother, Nick Crossley.
Please join us for a celebration of his life at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Funeral Home in Sanford, Florida on December 2nd, 2021 from 5-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to The Gary Sinise Foundation or K9s for Warriors.
Condolences may be offered in the online guest book below.
