He was born in South Charleston, WV on October 40, 1952 to the late JOhn and Helma Evans who preceded him in death. He graduated from Logan High School in West Virginia.
He was married to Anita Ferguson Evans on October 24, 1981 in Logan. Denny worked as a heavy equipment operator foreman in the construction industry for 43 years. He was a Trustee on the Southern Cassadaga Camp Meeting Association. Denny loved his work and worked well past his retirement age.
His passion was motorcycles and built a beautiful chopper which was on exhibit in the US Bank in Sanford, Florida in 1978. He and his wife also rode every year in the Shriners ride for crippled children.
He is survived by one son, Dennis Wayne Evans II and 7 brothers and sisters and his loving wife of 43 years Anita Evans.
A gathering of family and friends for Dennis will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771. Military honors will occur Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM, at Oaklawn Park Cemetery. A graveside service will occur Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM, at Oaklawn Park Cemetery. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, at Oaklawn Park Cemetery.
