Born and raised in Bowman,ND, the daughter of Walter and Ellen Bagley. Delores came to Washington D.C. at the age of 18 to work for the Federal Government. She married and settled in southern Maryland to raise a family. Dee, as she was known to many, worked her way up at the Department of Navy in a variety of positions including Financial Manager, Program Analysts and Business/Industrial Specialist. She attended college part-time for many years and received her B.A. from Maryland University College. She also lived in Alexandria, VA and Annapolis,MD in her later years. After retiring from the Department of Navy in 1988, she went to work for Dept. of Defense contractors including SYSCON Corp, AECPO Inc.and EG&G, for almost 20 years until her final retirement. She moved to Lake Mary, FL in 2003, where she could be close to her son and grandchildren. She enjoyed the warm weather and staying active with her gardening projects. She was especially proud of her roses.
Delores was both a heart attack and breast cancer survivor. She was a strong woman and a wonderful mother who was very generous and loving. She had a great sense of humor, smiled easily and loved to laugh.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Joseph Scally, and her daughter, Patricia Ann Scally. She is survived by her son Jeffery D. Scally, and daughter, Deborah L. Schneider (Scott), and her grandchildren , Gary A. Mitchell, Jennifer L. Scally, Andrew J. Scally, and Brian J. Scally, and great-grandson Theo Daniel Gimenez.
