POWER, CYNTHIA KAY, 92 of Orlando, FL passed away September 20, 2022. Born in Wyandotte, MI, Kay was married to James M. Power for 52 years before his passing in 2008. Kay was the daughter of long time Grosse Ile, MI residents Constance and Fritz Overesch, sister of Constance Overesch Culver, and twin sister of Kip Overesch. She enjoyed a career as a sculptor for American sculptor Marshall Fredericks and assisted in the creation of The Spirit of Detroit statue. Born and raised on Grosse Ile she resided there with her family until moving to Orlando FL in 1983. Kay was a loving and devoted wife and mother who had an inspirational personality. She is survived by her daughters Catherine Poole (Mark), Longwood, FL, Cary Klinger (John), Longwood, FL, Connie Perry (Jack), Satellite Beach, FL, son James T. Power, Cocoa Beach, FL, ten grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service and Interment will be conducted in Grosse Ile, MI, October 2nd at 12:00pm at St. James Episcopal Church.
