Cynthia Lee Detwiler

Cynthia was raised by her loving mother, Joanne and Stepfather, Donald Mattoon. She grew up as a “Navy Brat” traveling the world with her family, even graduating high school in Sicily. Cynthia married the love of her life, Roy, on January 14, 1982. She treasured her family and enjoyed regular family gatherings and game nights where family could laugh and share memories. She also adored her canine companion, Dexter the pug. When she wasn’t doing these things she enjoyed traveling and carrying out her mother’s family holiday traditions. She was preceded in death by her parents Joanne and Donald Mattoon.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Roy, her loving children; Brian Keith Lane, Jeffery David Lane and Kara Leigh Vazquez, her sister Veronica Myers, her 12 grandchildren and her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11am at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Safeharbor Christian Church at 730 Upsala Rd, Sanford, FL 32771 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
