Clyde Podraza, 67, of Lake Mary, Florida, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 2nd 2022. Clyde was born in Chicago, Illinois, growing-up in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. While attending Chicago’s Lane Tech High School, Clyde was employed as an Andy Frain usher, working Bulls and Blackhawks games at legendary Chicago Stadium, and Cubs games at historic Wrigley field.
Clyde went on to earn a Masters Degree in Business Administration at Lake Forest College. Clyde began his professional career at Motorola, then moving into executive positions at Panasonic, International Jensen, Recoton, Dual Electronics, and AAMP Global.
A lover of golf, auto racing, football, and live music, Clyde attended many sporting events and concerts throughout his years.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Marj, of 44 years, his three children – sons Gregg & Mike, daughter Amy & her husband Andy (Waters); grandchildren – Bob, Brynn, & Ted; brothers – Quen & wife Diana, & Ken; sisters – Dorothy (Fiandaca), Claudia (Ptak), & Marlene (Kopala). Brother’s in-law Bob & wife Liz (Walker), & John (Walker), sister in-law Sandra & husband Tom (Parisi), and mother in-law Betty (Walker). A loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, Clyde is preceded in death by parents Stanley & Sophie Podraza, father in-law Bert (Walker), and brother’s in-law Taus (Kopala) & Jim (Ptak).
Clyde’s celebration of life will be held from 5 pm – 8 pm on Friday, February 18th 2022, at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home: 5000 Co Rd 46 A, Sanford, FL 32771.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made, which will help fund a bench along Sanford’s Lake Monroe Riverwalk, dedicated to Clyde Podraza.
