Christopher R. Evans, 42, of La Jolla, California and Lake Mary, Florida passed away on January 26, 2022. He was born in Falls Church, Virginia on August 10, 1979 to his mother, Dianne Crissey. His birth brought enormous love and joy to his family.
Chris and his family relocated to Florida in 1984. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Longwood and Lake Mary and formed many friendships during these years. He formed a lifelong friendship with Alex and Isaac Babcock who are like brothers to him. Chris developed a love for sports and played soccer, baseball, and basketball. Chris shared a love and skill for soccer with his sister, Jennifer as well a hilarious and sarcastic sense of humor. He also became a passionate sports fan especially for the Washington Redskins and the Chicago White Sox. Chris also loved music and was an excellent bass guitarist and singer. He became a “tech wizard” and loved to play video games with his sister and his friends. His favorite board games were Risk and Monopoly which he frequently won. Chris also became the biggest fan of all things Star Wars and this love for Star Wars continued throughout his life. At age 7, he was appointed an Honorary Jedi Knight by Yoda and Luke Skywalker.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in 2007 and enjoyed a successful career as a software engineer and computer programmer. In 2016, Chris relocated to La Jolla, California and lived only 2 blocks from his beautiful Pacific Beach. Although he loved and missed his family and friends in Florida, Chris was very happy living and working in California.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Dianne Crissey; sister, Jennifer Evans; brother in-law, Christopher Quinn; niece Zoe Quinn, and nephew Phoenix Quinn as well as numerous dearly loved family members especially his Uncle Richie and Aunt Vickie and his many very dear friends and his beloved feline companion and his best friend, Chloe.
