Anyone that knew Charlie knew of his love for family and the desire to protect them. He had quite the love story with his wife and adored her more than anything in this world. It was beautiful to watch his love for her. He also loved music and spent a long career in the music industry and made friends all over the world because of it. Charlie owned numerous music stores in the Orlando area through the 70’s and 80’s.
He also worked for Korg Keyboards and Marshall Amplifiers for 20 plus years, and then moved on to owning a successful speaker repair business in downtown Orlando. It was not uncommon for a famous music singer/musician to call the house and ask for Charlie over the years. Charlie also dabbled in local politics in the 1980’s as a former City Commissioner of Lake Mary, the city he loved to call home.
Charlie was quite the storyteller and always had those who loved him holding on to every word. We are certain he is continuing that in Heaven. Charlie had a passion for renovating and owning buses/custom motor coaches where he took musicians, sports teams and famous athletes to movie/commercial shoots and other gatherings. His buses were a phenomenal business for him but also a hobby he loved.
The most important part of Charlie’s life was his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He brought many people to Christ and helped drive a bus to pick up kids who could not make it to church. That describes Charlie’s heart. He would help anyone in need even if it meant giving them what he himself needed. Charlie had a BIG personality to match his BIG presence and always lit up the room. God gave him the “gift of gab” and it charmed everyone around him.
A special thank you to the people at Advent Health/Hospice of the Comforter for their loving care and support during his final days.
