Bertha M Perry

Bertha Perry, age 74, died on July 19, 2016 at Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City Florida, after an extended struggle with various health issues. Bertha was born February 19, 1942 in Kinston, North Carolina, the daughter of Delilah Fordham.

Bertha thoroughly enjoyed cooking, reading and being with her family. Bertha married the love of her life James Perry and moved to Boston, Massachusetts where she ran a successful day care for 30 years in addition to raising her four children.

Bertha is survived by her husband James Perry of Deltona, FL; son Milton Perry of Roslindale, MA; daughter Bernell Tate of San Antonio, TX; daughter Sandra Perry of Deland, FL; son Michael Perry of Barrington, NJ; granddaughter Jaquette Perry of Dorchester, MA; granddaughter Ciera Tate of San Antonio, TX; grandson Aaron Tate of San Antonio, TX; grandson Jorfred Nieves of Deland, FL; great grandchildren Tatiana Brown of Roslindale, MA, Cordae Tate of San Antonio, TX and Andrew Robinson of Roslindale, MA as well as a number of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

There will be a private service for immediate family members at the Oaklawn Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771 on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00am and interment will follow after services.
