Mrs. Adrienne Smith

Donna Smith, 81, passed away suddenly on July 18, 2018. Born August 14, 1936 in New Haven, CT, Donna was raised by her parents John Marathas, Ella Louloudis, and George Louloudis. She was a 1954 graduate of West Haven High School. Donna married Russell Smith in 1958. She raised her two children, Darren Smith (Christa) and Cara Shamer (John), in Orange, CT. She worked at United Illuminating, Karol Jewelry, and retired from The U.S. Postal Service. Donna relocated to Sanford, Florida, in 2005.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Konstantine “Gus” Marathas. She is survived by her children, her grandchildren, Darren Jr. (Bianca), Bethany, and Rachel Smith, and Ryan, Brett, and Alayna Shamer, and sisters Carrie Timiraos, Demetra Louloudis, and Merri Hawkins.

Donna was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. She was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed visits to the casino and traveling, especially to Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, 4-8 p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild, 5000 Country Rd. 46A, Sanford, FL. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, July 24, 10 a.m., at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1217 Trinity Woods Ln., Maitland, FL.
