I’ll remember a  ”Jam Band” enthusiast and avid camper, but the beat-all memories of Bill is of a diligent and conscientious boundary surveyor. I spent more hours in field surveys with him than any other in my 33 years of surveying, and, over the past 20 years at least, him with me. He was absolutely exceptional at observations of physical evidence and the use of magnetic locators.

In a vocation prone to irascible characters, He was a quiet gentleman. 

My prayers for comfort and resilience go to his parents, siblings, and above all, precious Marley. 

In honor of his distinctive mannerism, I’ll be showing up at the memorial with a wooden pencil over my ear.



Bill:

I will miss you, my brother. You were a role model to me with your easy going attitude, care for others, commitment to getting a job done, and devotion to  your daughter.  It's great to see that you made this impression on many others outside the family as well. Few if any people had a kinder heart than yours.  May you rest in peace.   

I was so saddened to hear about the sudden death of my son-n-law, Bill...he has now advanced to Glory & standing in God's Glorious Light. Bill was a very kind & quite man, he loved his family & was always working in his yard to make it more beautiful. Bill you will forever remain in my Heart, your precious Stephanie & Marley are forever Loved & covered in my constant Prayers...rest in God's sweet Peace, Bill. Bill and I were together 20 years and created a beautiful Daughter together.He was an amazing man and father.He loved his family anf freinds so much.Marley is alot like him and will carry on for him.Bill please know you will forever be with us.

You were one of my very best friends. From our long and deep talks, laughs, early morning runs to get "my drink"(it's just a mountain dew freezie drink but Bill drove me every single time to get it), to reading the devotional book in the mornings I stayed over, listening to music, watching TV, to just spending the day with you; your presence made me a better person. I miss you so much I can barely breathe. You understood me in a way that few ever have. You didn't make me feel bad for my shortcomings. I never had to walk on eggshells around you bc you were always so sweet. You were always so kind to let me watch my programs on TV. You told me when to turn my head at the gross parts of the TV shows and movies. I love you with all my heart. I've been thinking about the day you set the baby deer free that was caught in the fencing behind your house. That deer was so VERY grateful to be free. I pray you have that same feeling of free now. I pray you are in Heaven watching over all of us that adored you. Bill I'll never get over losing you. I am grateful beyond measure for our friendship. We helped each other during the hard times and we enjoyed/celebrated the good times together. You were always there when I needed you and vice versa. What I would give to just be in your presence again.... Fare you well, fare you well, I love you more than words can tell....

I've personally known Bill for 15 years.  We were co-workers.  He was a Georgia Registered Land Surveyor and one of the best in the business - a true professional in every sense of the word.  He could do it all, whether it was field work OR office work.  He leaves an incredible legacy in that his surveying plats will remain on file in courthouses all over north Georgia forever. My deepest sympathy to his family during this time of great loss.

Bill and I worked together for 15 years.  He was a kind and gentle soul who didn't say a lot, but you could always get him talking if you asked about his daughter.  Everyone who worked with Bill liked and respected him, and we all learned a lot from him.  He will really be missed by all of us at Valentino & Associates.

Prayers for his daughter and family.

Bill was an excellent surveyor and professional and always fulfilled his commitments. It was always a pleasure to see him every morning, first one in the office everyday. Title attorneys always complemented him on his work and thoughtfulness to every problem that would arise.  Bill was not a big talker, more silent than others but always in thought. 

 Now that he has left us the void is here and we can only hope he understands what a positive influence he had on our lives everyday.

Our Thoughts and Prayers are with him and his family, we will miss you Bill.


Bill has been a good friend for 25 years. Having worked with him for years, his favorite saying was, "Nothing to it but to do it." Another saying was, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

You don't find many people as easy going as Bill. To the family, I am praying for you and crying with you. Bill will be greatly missed but I'm sure I'll see him at the gate, one day.
