Thomas “Pearce” Howell, 28 of Atlanta passed away on September 3, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Pearce graduated from The Lovett School in 2013, where he was a member of the 2013 State Championship winning varsity baseball team. He went on to attend Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He graduated from Georgia State University in the Spring of 2018 with degrees in both Finance and Accounting.
Pearce had a love for animals that extended from his beloved dogs, Maggie and Bear, to his volunteer work at The Atlanta Humane Society. He played baseball from the time he could first throw a ball through college. He continued his love for the sport as a little league coach the past few years at Buckhead Baseball.
Pearce is survived by his father James Howell; mother Nancy (Keesling) Howell; and twin sister Laura Howell. He is also survived by his aunt Janet Powell, and uncle Tim Howell.
A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute or The Atlanta Humane Society.
