Thomas B. Courson, age 85, went to be with his Savior on April 26, 2011. He died as peacefully as he lived. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frieda Courson, godsons, Philip and Peter Bartkovski, and a host of other loving family members. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a long-time member of Mt. Paran Church Of God. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Thomas B. Courson Scholarship Fund, Lee University, Dept. of University Relations, P.O. Box 3450 Cleveland, TN 37320-3450. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 noon.
