Tamara (Tammy) Sparks

Mrs. Tamara Sparks, age 73. Tammy died August 12, 2013. She was born February 3, 1940, in Oasis, NV to Edward and Winnie Reed. She is survived by her brother Milton Reed of Reno, NV; Her daughter Terri Brereton (Tom) of Woodstock and her son Paul (Sue) of Marietta; her grandchildren, Tiffany Harris (Shanard), Chelsea Byars, Chad Brereton (Felecia), Timothy Brereton (Mandy), Reed Sparks, Ryan Sparks, Ethan Sparks and 10 great grandchildren.

Tammy lived an incredibly full life, always overflowing with family and friends. She was a founder of Soldiers for the Cross; a ministry which visits at-risk Atlanta neighborhoods to minister to children of all ages. After her family, this was her passion and where she spent most of her time. Most of the children she ministered to simply knew her as "Grammy" and counted on her for a big hug, a compassionate smile and an encouraging word. They were never disappointed! Memorial services will be held at Sandy Springs Chapel 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA on Friday, August 16 at 2pm.
