Mrs. Rosemary C. Nixon a longtime resident of Atlanta went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, September 08, 2012. She attended Georgia State University and Oglethorpe University. Rosemary worked in various capacities for the Georgia Power Company for twenty years before retirement. She served on the Board of Equalization for Fulton County. Rosemary was an active member of Mt. Paran Church of God, serving as Treasurer of the Kingdom Seekers Sunday School Class and coordinator of Women’s Bible Studies. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be forever missed by all she touched, both personally and professionally. Surviving are her husband, Ray A. Nixon, Jr.; son, Chris Mashburn; daughters and son-in-law, Nikki and Michael Wuttke, Sue K. Nixon, Dawn K. Nixon; and three grandchildren, Mary Alvis, Ray Wolf and Jonathan Wuttke. Funeral services celebrating Rosemary’s life will be held Wednesday, September 12th at eleven o’clock in the chapel of Mt. Paran Church of God with Dr. David C. Cooper and Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. She will lie in state from ten o’clock until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
