Roseann was born in Pearl River, New York to Rose Anna and Arthur Eichner. She met her husband, John Holt, at a Methodist Church dance and were happily married for 65 years.
In 1960, the family transferred to Atlanta. Roseann enjoyed working at JP Allen and Hoffritz in Lenox Square Mall. For 49 years she taught children’s Sunday school at St. James UMC and for 20 years taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to adults from around the world. Roseann supported and volunteered with her husband in Masonic, Shrine, Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and Emory Hospital events.
Roseann’s life was filled with milestones that exemplified her strength, resilience, kindness and unwavering devotion to her church and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Holt and is survived by her daughter, Cathy Brashear (Ken); sons, Chet Holt (Sharon), Steve Holt (Sonja), John Holt (Johanna), Bryan Holt (Judy); grandchildren, Daniel Holt (Jillian), Chelsea Ansley (Hunter), Adam Holt (Matt Isbell), Randolph Goulding (Mara), Bryanna Bagwell (Mark); and great grandchildren, Wilder Ansley, Lily Holt and Patrick Holt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church. A memorial service followed by a reception will be Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 3 o’clock at Saint James United Methodist Church, 4400 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342.
