Robert “Bobby” H. Lummus, 96, of Marietta died on Monday, the 1st of August 2016. Bobby was a graduate of Fulton High and North Georgia College. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army. Following his tour of duty he joined his father, Robert H. Lummus, Sr. at Lummus Sand & Coal which later became Lummus Supply. He was a former member of the Baptist Tabernacle and a current member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church joining in 1995. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandson, Blake Barber and his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Evelyn Johnson Lummus. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert H. Lummus, III and Patsy Lummus, Bill and Anne Lummus; daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Underwood Bauerle and Ted Bauerle, Jacqualine L. Barber; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. In honor of Mr. Lummus all locations of Lummus Supply will be closed on the day of the funeral service. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, the 4th of August at ten o’clock in the morning at Arlington Chapel with the Reverend John Bryan officiating. Entombment will follow at Westview Abbey.
