Robert G. Hill, Jr. (Robo), age 51, died August 8, 2017, after battling cancer for 18 months. He was surrounded by family and numerous friends during his last days in hospice. He is survived by his parents, Becky and Bob Hill; his sisters, Sarah Hill McKenzie and Deborah Hill; his brother-in-law, Doyle McKenzie; his nieces and nephew, Katie, Elizabeth and Sawyer McKenzie; and his aunts and uncle, Jane Hill and Sarah and Sam Naff and many cousins. He graduated from Riverwood High School and Shorter University. He was born in Atlanta and a member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Robert loved music, photography, camping, target shooting and riding dirt bikes and motorcycles. His last ride was on July 8, 2017, in his third charity ride to Cartersville, GA for the Skip Wells Memorial Fund. His favorite job after graduating was the three years he spent driving 18-wheelers all over the 48 states and seeing the country; always stopping to visit family and friends, whenever possible, especially in High Point, NC, Scottsdale, AZ and Sonoma, CA. Prior to his death he was employed by Atlanta Metal, Inc. There will be a memorial service held for him at 11:00, Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30305.
