A native of Moorhead, MS, he was a son of Robert Clark, Sr. (Bob) and Millie Stonestreet Clark. He was employed as a Sr. Auditor for the U.S. Department of Education and was a member of Moorhead Baptist Church. Rob earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and attended a year of law school at Ole Miss, before subsequently earning dual masters in Finance and Accounting at Mercer University in Atlanta.
Survivors include his husband, James Joseph Ward (Joe) of Dunwoody; a brother, Jim Clark of McGee, MS; a sister, Vicki Clark-Tabb (Robert), of Sunflower, MS; a sister, Teresa Clark-Gray (Doyle) of Crossville, TN; a niece, Amanda Tabb, of Memphis, TN; a nephew, Dalton Tabb of Sunflower, MS; and a nephew, Spencer Wooten (Faith), of Crossville, TN.
Rob loved to travel with Joe and they visited many wonderful places, caring for their beloved cats, playing scrabble, cards and board games with family, spending quality time with friends, enjoying music and movies, and following collegiate and Olympic-level gymnastics.
A memorial is being held Friday, June 10th, at Moorhead Baptist Church in Moorhead, MS. Dr. Allen Snowden, a family friend, will officiate. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association at 1-800-242-8721.
