Park Thomas Zimmerman passed away on May 30th 2016 at 11 P M. He was the husband of Claudia Jane Zimmerman, whom he married in Vietnam in 1966. Tom, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Oak Park Illinois on October 27, 1941, graduated from Creighton Law School in 1965, and served in the Army JAG Corp from 1965-1969, where he awarded a bronze star medal. Tom retired from the OTS in 2001. Never a joiner, Tom instead devoted himself to an almost religious fashion to family, Notre Dame football and movies of every age and variety. He is survived by his wife, Claudia, his children, David, Amy, Karen, Beth,Patrick and Lisa and his grandchildren Luke, Mark,Emma, Leah, Jack and Parker. The memorial Service will be held at the LDS church at 6449 Glenridge Dr. Sandy Springs, GA 30328 on June 4th at 2 PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to an educational fund for his daughter Lisa.
