Pamela Werner

November 4, 1946 – August 11, 2023

Pamela Mathews Werner (Pam) of Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully on August 11, 2023 at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, William Arthur Werner, and is survived by their two sons, William Arthur Werner, Jr. and Chadwick Mattison Werner, two daughters-in-law, Stephanie Werner and Priscilla Werner, and four grandchildren, George, Jack, Lucinda and Montgomery.

Pam will be remembered by all who knew her as an adoring mother and a generous friend. Her favorite times were spent with loved ones over a dinner table, both in her own kitchen and at the many steakhouses and Italian restaurants that counted her as a regular. Whether you were already dear to her heart or a virtual stranger, you were always welcome at her table.

Perhaps the only thing to rival her love of a perfectly cooked steak and a friend to enjoy it with was her love of the stock market. Once she got the bug, she replaced the soap opera stars of her youth with CNBC anchors and reporters. She tracked stocks the way a Texas football scout tracks high school prospects…and she excelled at finding future hall of famers. She was always ready with a hot tip and never shy about sharing it.

Relatively late in life Pam discovered a hidden talent for drawing and painting. Her attention to detail in her art, and her ability to work for hours to give life to that detail, were unparalleled among her peers. In addition to the many remarkable works of art Pam produced, she also gave her kids the joy of being able to tease that this new found talent was not new at all and instead just a natural byproduct of many years spent in front of a makeup mirror in pursuit of perfection.

For all of this and more, Pam will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed – the only solace for those left behind being the knowledge that she is once again at peace and reunited with her husband.

Services will be held for Pam at H.M. Patterson and Son Chapel, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 on Sunday, August 20, 2023, with a gathering of friends and family between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm and a memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm.
