Lynn Reynolds Campbell, 79, of Marietta died August 20, 2018. Mrs. Campbell was born in Atlanta on February 6, 1939 to Carolyn Woodall Reynolds and Lewis Reynolds. She was the oldest child and first born daughter. Her sister, Dawn Lillian was born in 1940 and her brother, Lewis was born in 1951. Lynn attended Garden Hills Elementary and North Fulton High School graduating in 1958. She was a cheerleader in high school and loved every minute of it. She then attended the University of Georgia from 1958-1962 where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. After graduating from Georgia and she began a teaching job in south Atlanta. While at Georgia she met James Campbell and they married in 1964 and her sons Chris and Craig were born on November 23, 1966.Mrs. Campbell lived in Roswell Court with her friends until she moved out across the river to East Cobb County and Kings Cove in the early 1970’s. Lynn never met a stranger and loved her family and friends deeply. She had life-long friends from grade school, as well as her newer friends from her job as a realtor for 20+ years. She could tell a story like no other remembering details that others forgot. Her focus was always on people- connecting and loving her people. The things Lynn loved were her sons, Chris, Craig, and David, her nephew, Max, her niece, Shannon, the Georgia Dawgs, her friends, swimming, tennis, dinner parties, her famous fudge, roux, M &M’s and turkey and dressing dinner. She was an excellent cook and loved to teach cooking to others. Lynn touched so many lives and we were all better humans because we knew her. A memorial service will be Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in the Kellett Chapel.
