Mrs. Lillian Simmons Payne, 86, of Sandy Springs died April 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Blanton Morgan Payne; her parents, Henry P. Simmons and Mattie Belle Lovell Simmons and her sisters, Evelyn Simmons Cockrill and Clara Simmons Conway. Survivors include nieces, Brenda Cockrill Tapp of Huntsville. AL; Karen Conway Morgan of Columbia, MO and nephews Millard Dale Cockrill of Cartersville, GA and Dennis Glenn Conway of Woodstock, GA. Mrs. Payne had been a resident of Sandy Springs for over 50 years and was a good neighbor. She had a love for animals and a generosity and willingness to give.
