I miss my husband everyday and life is lonely without him.

I loved that man, he was a cutter til the day he passed away. We used to discuss his WWII days when he flew planes. My Prayers go out to all his family, and hope that Miss Marie Albuquerque. Hope she is doing well.

I was practicing Orthopedics at South Fulton Hospital until 1990 when I returned to my hometown of New Orleans. I met someone last week with the same unusual last name and wondered what happened to John. He was a pleasant, gentle man and an excellent surgeon. I wish I had kept in touch with him but geography and the Wheels of Time intruded.

Thinking of my husband today as we prepare for Thanksgiving.  He's so missed by family and John loved to shop for Christmas more than anyone I've ever know. Not a day goes by that I don't think of John, my soulmate and love of my life.... Your loving wife, Marie Albuquerque

It's been three years ago today since you passed. I can't say that time has healed because I miss you everyday and think of you, I know you're in Heaven and out of pain. I live you forever.. Your wife, Marie De Albuquerque.

I will say John was a funny guy he was a character in his own way, u can't get bored around him.. whenever I met him he will start telling lots lots stories .. and all of them r funny and interesting. I remember one day I went to visit him at the hospital after he fell crossing the road, I wanted to make a surprise just to show up ... and the minute I got to his room, he was asleep. .and when he woke up .. he looked at me and the first word came out his mouth was "do u work here?" .... I couldn't help it ...so I just started laughing.  Whenever iremember  him I laugh ...he was always telling me " enjoy ur life"...we really miss u John.... rest in peace! !

Your friendship towards my husband will always be cherished. You were a kind heart towards him when there was no other.

I'm thinking of you today and six months after your death is not any easier today. I miss you so much.

John was such a kind man and will be missed by many. I only knew him later in life, and he brought such happiness to Marie and her family. He lived his final year with such strength and dignity as he fought cancer, and thought of others more often than himself.  My heart goes out to Marie as she adjusts to the loss of John in her life. He left her with such happy memories to reflect on in his absence, and hopefully she'll find comfort in those memories. We all loved him and will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace with no more pain.....

Good by to a longtime friend and neighbor. We had many adventures and good times together As a good friend we watched our children grow up and become wonderful adults.The memories and special times together will always remain in our memory.

I did not know John personally but I understand he was a wonderful man and I am glad that he and Marie were able to spend time together and have fun and enjoy life !  I am sure he will be remembered forever with family and friends -

oday is D- Day, a time to remember the brave men who gave all. World War II hasn't received the attention that our veterans deserve. We are quick to forget how we got where we're at today. The courage that young brave men presented at a very young age when faced with combat, only teen agers. One such young man was John De Albuquerque, a fighter pilot in World War II. I had the honor to be part of John's life. John talked about that time and looked back, he very sadly said, with his head hung low, I didn't think about hurting anyone when I was releasing my bombs. As John came to realise that he never meant to hurt anyone. This weighed heavily on his heart, John was a kind and good man. Let's all remember and think very hard before we start another war, how many lives will it cost? I will honor John on this day and everyday. If you should see an old gentleman wearing a hat with the WWII veteran logo on it, buy his meal and shake his hand, and thank god he sent him to us.

My wife and I both meet John years ago and he was always much more than a physician to both of us and to many others. He became over the years a true friend and what I will always think of as the most kind and compassionate father figures I have ever known in my entire life. It is truly an honor and a privilege to have been cared for and have had the opportunity to have known John in so many ways. There was never, not one time, when spending time with him that he did not impart some little bit of knowledge or wisdom that I will always carry with me til the end of my days. Miss Marie, I am so sorry for your loss, and even knowing he is in a better place, I know you miss him dearly. If there is ever anything at all, please do not ever hesitate to contact Sloane or myself, we will always be there for you. Again to one of the most terrific men I have ever known and will ever know I'm sure of it, rest in peace John de Albuquerque, you have truly earned all the blessings and riches that heaven may have to offer. I first met John de Albuquerque when his receptionist had embezzled money from him by pocketing patient's co-pays and I was a detective for the East Point Police Department, where his office was located. I visited and dined in his home; he visited and dined in mine. I felt no compunctions in letting him take scalpel in hand when I need abdominal surgery and he apparently had enough confidence in me to hire me when he needed an attorney. John de Albuquerque was my physician, my client and my very dear friend, and I am deeply saddened by his passing. He had been on my mind recently so apparently we are still connecting. God's peace to you, doctor.

Happy Father's Day, John.............I know Heaven is a beautiful place to celebrate.

My deepest sympathy to his entire family and friends. Take comfort in the fact that in the last days of his life he was seeing more, not less. As he was seeing heaven he described it as "The most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. It's magnificient!" He was also talking to his Mother in Portuguese and called her by name. He is at peace and I hope the same will be true for those left behind. John and my mother, Marie, had 10 great years together and he was a blessing to our family. We loved him and I will miss him very much.
