Jean Cole Cooper

Jean was born June 21, 1929 in Alvaton, Georgia. She graduated from Alvaton-Carmel High School in 1946. Jean was married to the late Dan S. Cooper of Decatur, Georgia. She worked for Life of Georgia Insurance Co. in Atlanta and later at Krispy Kreme in Macon. They have two children Diane and David.

After moving to Roswell, Georgia in 1982, she became very involved at Mt Zion United Methodist Church. Jean loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her two children: Diane (Phil) Jackson and David (Teri) Cooper; grandchildren Philip (Donna) Jackson, Adam (Ashley) Jackson, Cole (Jessica) Cooper and Lindy (Turner) Herron. Great-grandchildren Daniel, Lilly, Elle, Jack, Casey and Rylee Tate.

There will be a private graveside service on Sunday, August 20, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1770 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30062 or Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
