Jack was born February 22, 1939 in Monticello, Georgia, son of the late Daniel Seaborne Lynch and Ruby Bowden Lynch. After graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering, Jack started his career in structural engineering design. He created and managed his own structural engineering consulting business in Atlanta, Georgia where his firm designed and engineered many notable commercial and institutional buildings throughout the southeast for over 30 years. Jack then retired to Kiawah Island where he enjoyed fishing, playing golf and the company of many new friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Jane of Roswell, GA; son, John Lynch (Valerie) of Roswell, GA; brother, Robert Lynch (Iris) of Macon, GA; sister, Mary Foose (Bill) of Tucson, AZ, and four grandchildren: Brittany Lynch, Allison Stinchcomb (Stephen), Sarah Jane Lynch and Michael Lynch. Jack is predeceased by his son Jim Lynch and a sister, Mabel Lynch.
