Gregory C. Johnson

Gregory C. Johnson, 47, of Atlanta, died February 22, 2017. Mr. Johnson attended St. Mary’s International School and graduated from the American School in Tokyo, Japan. He then attended and graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Though he always had a great interest in both technology and the law, his wanderlust proved to be his main motivator. He traveled to many places around the world, expanding his horizons. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Weldon H. Johnson, and is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Johnson; sister, Deborah J. Bright and her husband, John F.; nephew, John W. Bright; and nieces, Katherine E. Bright and Adeline B. Bright. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Gregory C. Johnson Scholarship at The University of Georgia (http://www.drc.uga.edu/ include “Gregory Johnson Scholarship” in special instructions) or to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (www.choa.org). A memorial service will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. His generous heart and kind smile will be missed greatly.
