Mrs. Evelyn Y. Stone, age 94, of Marietta, GA died August 9, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joel Franklin Stone, Sr. Survivors include her son Edward C. Stone (Luzamar) of Marietta; daughter Jan Stone Keown (Charles) of Marietta; son Joel Franklin Stone, Jr. (Kaye) of Canton, GA; sister-in-law, Ruth Young; grandchildren Brian Stone of Statesboro, GA; Jennifer Stone Davis of Canton, GA; Katie Keown of New York and she was predeceased by her grandson Michael Walton, Jr. She is also survived by 5 great grandsons and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stone was an active member, especially in Sunday School at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta. She was a devoted and loving caregiver for her husband for 10 years. Her devotion to family was everything to her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
