Eva Olsen Bragg, age 97, of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2017. The daughter of Norwegian immigrants John and Marie Olsen, Eve grew up in the seaside town of Sea Bright, NJ. She attended the Central Park School of Art in NYC and majored in fashion illustration. She then went to work for J C Penney illustrating catalogs. On a summer vacation to Maine, she met Bob Bragg and fell madly in love and they were married in 1940. Eve and Bob raised 5 children and were married for 62 years. They were both talented watercolor artists that were inspired by nature, history, antiques, and trips to their favorite destinations including the rocky coast of Maine and Sanibel Island, FL. Eve won many awards in local, regional, and national exhibitions and her paintings hang in personal and corporate collections including the Ford Motor Company, Walt Disney World, and the Columbus Museum, Columbus, Ga. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Bragg is survived by her children, Lance (Becky), Heather Salmon (Jack), Kevin (Victoria), Eric (Mary Jo), Robin Siegel (Peter); 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorials Committee of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A Celebration of Life service with a reception afterwards will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 1 o’clock at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 3098 St. Anne’s Ln, Atlanta, GA 30327. Interment will follow the reception at Arlington Memorial Park. In honor of her life as an artist, colorful attire is suggested.
