Edward Ward Allen Mabry Sr.

Edward Allen Mabry, Sr. passed away on May 27, 2013 after a four year struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. Ward was born in Glendale, CA on September 20, 1937 to (now deceased) Sam and Bernice Mabry. A 1956 graduate of North Fulton High School, Ward was educated and lived in California and Georgia, but also considered himself an “adopted son” of Destin, FL where he, family and friends spent many happy times over the years. The majority of Ward’s career was spent in the Insurance and Auditing industry. Ward leaves behind his wife of 52 years Patricia (Buck) Mabry, his son Edward A. (Ted) Mabry, Jr. and his wife Kathy (Sullivan) Mabry and their two children Brian and Kristen all from Boston, MA; and his son Jeffrey David Mabry and his wife Dina (Derington) Mabry and their three children Madeline, Victoria and James from Oak Park, CA. He leaves behind siblings, Jeffrey W. Mabry and wife Gladys, Marc S. Mabry and wife Lorraine, Steven C. Mabry and wife Marta, Gail Mabry McCreanor, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jean Buck Lofe and Donald P. Lofe. In addition to one aunt and one uncle, Ward leaves cousins, nephews, nieces and caring friends and neighbors. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Embracing Hospice, Comfort Keepers and Visiting Nurse Services for their compassionate care. A graveside funeral for family will take place at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, with Pastor Steven C. Mabry officiating. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date to be announced,
