Dot grew up on the beautiful northwestern coast of Florida in Alligator Point. She worked at Wakulla Springs near Tallahassee and learned the trapeze while in her teens.
After graduating high school, Delta Airlines offered Dot one of the coveted positions of flight attendant and later in the executive office. She retired to devote her time to her daughter and husband, whom she supported throughout their legal careers.
Dot knew no strangers and her kindness and gratitude abounded, from growing plants for the workers at the local Publix to donating her time at the Episcopal thrift store. When she started a conversation, it was likely not to end for quite some time.
She spent her last year and a half with the wonderful health care workers at the Terraces at Peachtree Hills, many of whom she grew to love, adopt and to share life’s wisdom and path with them.
