Dave was born in 1935 in Elyria, OH to Donald and Ellen Webster. He had two brothers Donald (deceased), Tim (deceased); and a sister, Anne (Kelly). He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Eileen. Dave is survived by his children, Dan (Jean), Tim, Kathy, and Jim (Michelle); nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and another one, on the way.
Dave was a US Military Veteran, who served in the Coast Guard, during the Korean War. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from John Carroll University, in Cleveland, Ohio. With his wife, Dave raised his family in Lima, OH, Lansing, MI, Cleveland, OH, Kansas City, MO, and Dunwoody, Georgia.
Dave had a successful career with Hallmark Cards, during which he received his MBA from Georgia State University. He retired at 59 years of age to spend more time with family and to travel with his lovely wife. He has been a Dunwoody resident for 46 years, where he has been an active member in the Knights of Columbus, was an impactful contributer to the job network, and also taught CCD, at All Saints Catholic Church.
Dave was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Family was everything to him. He was kind, generous, and self-less. He loved spending time with his family, hearing about his grandchildren's lives, and watching his favorite baseball and football teams, the Cleveland Indians, the Atlanta Braves, and the Cleveland Browns.
The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd., Dunwoody, GA 30338.
The private burial is planned with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at All Saints Catholic Church.
