She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Pauline Harris and her brother Joe Rollin Hendrickson.
She is survived by her children, Kim Benamy (Dean), Teri Frye (Pete) and Joe M Sewell Jr (Pam); grandchildren, Brittany Benamy Saag, Kristen Frye, Max Frye, Heather Benamy, Connor Sewell; and two great grandchildren, Emmy Saag and Bennett Saag. She is survived by stepchildren, Christi Skipper and Kim Hearn (David); and three step grandchildren, Emma Hearn, Mason Hearn and Ashley Skipper.
Carol was born in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Atlanta as a young girl. She graduated from O’Keefe High School in downtown Atlanta. Carol was a recent widow to the late William Ira White, Jr who passed away earlier this year. Carol and Willy had lived in Venice, Florida, Huntersville, North Carolina and most recently moved back to Richmond, Virginia. Carol returned to Atlanta in February to be closer to her children and grandchildren after Willy’s death. Carol was kind, loving and generous. She was cherished for her selflessness and dedication to always putting others first.
