Britt was a beloved child of God, husband, father, son, brother and friend. Those that met Britt often felt immediately connected with him. The kindness, intellect, and humor that he brought to any situation put him in a league all his own. Britt‘s unique energy and natural curiosity followed him everywhere. Britt was drawn to investments and finance at an early age. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School in 1998 and graduated from Baylor University in 2002 with a BBA in finance and was a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder. Britt enjoyed his work at LCG Associates in Atlanta, GA where he was a Senior Vice President and Principal. His deepest connection was with his wife, Melissa, and children, Laney (8) and William (7). His family was a source of joy and pride. As a husband, he loved his wife well through the many seasons of their marriage. Britt was an amazing father. He understood the importance of his role and poured into his kids’ hearts at every opportunity. Britt and his family found a home at Roswell Community Church. Britt found several authentic friendships at RCC and grew in his relationship with God. Britt’s survivors include his wife Melissa Kay Bentley; daughter Laney Kay Bentley; son William Britt Bentley; parents: Liz Bentley and Bob Bentley (remarried to Cheryl) of Amarillo, TX; mother-in-law Carol Eileen Shaefer of Marietta, GA; brother: Cory Bentley (married to Traci) of Amarillo, TX; niece Preslie Ann Bentley of Amarillo; nephew Ethan Bryan Bentley of Amarillo and Grandmother Laura Seales of Muleshoe, TX. Funeral Services were held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:00 o’clock at Sandy Springs Chapel with interment following in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328.
