Betty Marie Hurst Boucher, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on December 12, 1934, in Jacksonville, FL, and was the oldest of eight children.
Betty had a beautiful smile that she always wore on her face, and she loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and golf, cooking and baking, and participating in community events. She was always willing to help anyone who entered her life in any way she could and was adored, loved, and respected by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her children, Michael Kohlsdorf, Phyllis Pongetti, and Richard Kohlsdorf, as well as her son-in-law and daughters-in-law, Shelly Justice, Gary Pongetti, and Dawn Kohlsdorf. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Tiffany Pron, Gary Pongetti Jr., Jacquie Bolinger, Nicole Maraldo, and Ryan Kohlsdorf, including their spouses, and over 30 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by the love of her life, Hilor G. Boucher, her brother, and sisters.
Betty's family-only visitation and funeral services will be held on April 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Funeral Home, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The burial service will follow at 12:15 pm at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Highway NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
