Barb was born on January 29, 1938 to Gene and Lucy Regan in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was raised in Cincinnati and attended Saint Ursula Academy and received her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She met George Binder while in high school and they married on November 24, 1962. Barb began her career working at Delta Airlines where she and George traveled extensively. As they moved throughout the Midwest before settling in Atlanta, Barb chose to be a homemaker and focus on raising her two sons, Tom and Tim. She was a frequent volunteer in the schools and youth organizations as the kids grew up.
Barb had a passion for her family, reading, traveling and the Braves. Nothing would bring a smile to her face more than to have the opportunity to talk about her kids or grandkids. She had a feisty streak in her that was offset by her selfless approach to family and friends. She also enjoyed neighborhood activities such as playing bridge and being a member of the book club. There were no better times than when she filled the house with friends and family.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Lucy. She is survived by her husband, George, kids, Tom, Tim and Heather, and grandkids Grant, Regan, Wilson and Harrison as well as other in-laws, nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on October 25, 2022 at 11am at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, GA.
