Vivian Anne (Hunt) Gosnell died May 5 2023 at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Sandwich, MA after a brief illness. Born April 16, 1935 in Plymouth MA to Herbert L. Hunt and Grace (Vivian) Hunt. Vivian was raised in Marshfield and Rockland and a proud graduate of Rockland High School class of 1953. She spent the last 50 years in Sandwich.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Herbert L. Hunt and Grace (Vivian) Hunt, Brother and Sister-in-Law John and Jeanne Hunt.
Vivian is survived by longtime Friend Gail Alcorn Sandwich MA Nephew John Hunt Jr. Abington MA and Niece Jill Paige Abington MA and her doggie companion Deuteronomy.
Vivian also considered family her “kids” Sharon Martin (Deceased), Don Martin (Deceased) Dan Martin and Debra Martin Sullivan
Vivian loved to talk to people, and her career path represented her gift of gab. Starting as a telephone operator moving into various sales roles and ending her career at the Vernon Company where she became known as Vivian from Vernon from her SouthEastern Mass customers.
Vivian was a volunteer at the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center and was a member of the Glass Town Players both onstage and off. Her greatest love was St John’s Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir, quilted and sewed and most importantly made lifetime friends.
Vivian spent many hours co-managing the Boston Red Sox from her chair and talking loudly to the TV.
Services will be held Saturday June 3, at 11:00 am at St John’s Episcopal Church 159 Main Street Sandwich, MA conducted by her friend the Reverend Barbara Peterson.
In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to St John’s Episcopal Church or the Sandwich Food Pantry.
